Information Sent Directly
Search terms
A name, location, or other text entered into a search widget is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Perry County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own servers. The provider's privacy notice and terms apply after the request leaves this service.
Messages and emails
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the content and contact details may be kept long enough to answer, keep a short communication history, and handle a related request. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to protect rights and security.
Technical Data and Cookies
Routine page delivery can produce technical information. This helps with security, performance, troubleshooting, and aggregate use measurement.
- Internet Protocol address and approximate network information
- Browser name, version, and language settings
- Device type, operating system, and screen details
- Pages requested and the time spent on them
- Referring page or search source, when supplied
- Request dates and timestamps
Cookie choices
Cookies and similar tools may help show how visitors use the pages, remember limited preferences, measure performance, or support advertising. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Some features may respond differently when those tools are disabled.
How Information Is Used
Information is used only for ordinary operation and communication purposes, such as:
- Keeping the pages available, secure, and reasonably fast
- Sending a search request to the selected partner service
- Learning which content is useful in aggregate
- Finding errors, fraud, abuse, and technical faults
- Showing advertising that may be relevant to a visitor's interests
Links and Partner Pages
Pages link to sheriff and police offices, jail and court portals, state corrections, federal locators, local news, legal resources, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows one of those links, the destination's own privacy notice governs its collection and use.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across different services and present interest-based ads. That tracking takes place under the partner's policies, not under a promise that this service controls the partner's systems.
Who May Receive Data
Personal data is not sold as a standalone mailing list. It may be received by the following groups when needed for the purposes above:
- Search partners that process text entered into a search box
- Analytics and hosting providers that help measure or operate pages
- Advertising networks and their measurement partners
- Law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order
Security Efforts
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under the service's control. No system connected to the internet is completely secure, however, and no promise can be made that data will never be lost, intercepted, or exposed.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent personal data, a parent or guardian may write through Contact Us to request deletion, subject to any legal recordkeeping duty.
Choices and Data Rights
Depending on the information and applicable law, a visitor may ask what data is held and request:
- A copy of personal information maintained for that visitor
- Correction of inaccurate contact information
- Deletion of information that no longer needs to be kept
- Restriction or opt-out of certain processing, including some advertising uses
Requests can be sent through the contact route. A request may need enough detail to identify the relevant message or data.
Changes to This Notice
Privacy practices may change as tools, laws, and page features change. A revised notice will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised wording applies to future activity.
